TESLA LAUNCHES $3,000 WINTER PACKAGE FOR THE CYBERTRUCK

Tesla has introduced a new package for the Cybertruck. Priced at $3,000, the 20" Cyber Wheel And Winter Tire Package, as it's known, aims to improve grip, handling, and braking in cold weather (under 45 degrees Fahrenheit). It's the perfect time for Tesla to launch this, as we head towards chillier temperatures in the coming months.

The package includes a set of four Cyber wheels, wrapped in 285/65R20 Goodyear DuraTrac tires. Of course, four BLE tire pressure sensors and nuts also form part of the winter tire bundle. Tesla claims the package is Three Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) rated "for areas that require winter tires and offers all-terrain capability for an improved off-road experience and improved toughness."

Tesla

Tesla, Inc. is an American electric vehicle manufacturer largely attributed to driving the EV revolution. Through the Model S and subsequent products, Tesla has innovated and challenged industry conventions on numerous fronts, including over-the-air updates, self-driving technology, and automotive construction methods. Tesla is considered the world's most valuable car brand as of 2023, and the Model Y the world's best-selling car in the same year, but the brand's greatest achievement is arguably the Supercharger network of EV charging stations.

Available For All Tesla Cybertruck Variants

Tesla says that the wheel and winter tire package is compatible with all Cybertruck trims but notes that wheel caps and lug nut covers are not included. Customers can purchase the wheels or tires individually but through a Tesla Service Center. Snow chains are also listed on Tesla's accessory website for $345, but this has already sold out.

Tesla Doesn't Care If You Flip The Cybertruck Anymore

Tesla will no longer seek financial and other penalties against Cybertruck resellers. We wonder why...

Last month, Tesla Cybertruck Chief Engineer Wes Morill said that while all-season tires are more efficient than all-terrain rubber, the Cybertruck Core wheels strike a fine balance between handling and efficiency. They also reduce road noise, which is great in an EV where tire roar is more noticeable.

Latest In A Long Line Of Cybertruck Accessories

Morill followed this statement by saying that all-terrain tires would be better in snow: "That said, a 3-peak-rated tire will be best in snow. Tesla will offer a 3-peak winter tire package on the shop for those looking for the best winter performance." Tesla has introduced several accessories for the Cybertruck in recent months. This includes a tailgate shield and jump seats, although both of these accessories are sold out, per Tesla's website.

Elon Musk Says the Tesla Cybertruck Is Too Expensive

It's not an inexpensive purchase and Musk knows the price has to come down.

If customers aren't a fan of the Cybertruck's standard exterior finishes, they can choose from a selection of wrap colors, priced between $6,000 and $6,500. As a reminder, pricing for the polarizing electric truck starts at $99,900 for the all-wheel drive variant and $119,900 for the 845-horsepower Cyberbeast. Unfortunately, Tesla is no longer accepting orders for the $60,990 base model, which is due to arrive in 2025.
