666 HP IN A PORSCHE SUV? THE CAYENNE S ELECTRIC MIGHT BE THE WILDEST CAYENNE YET

Porsche AG announced on Wednesday the release of the new Cayenne S Electric, which slots between the Cayenne Electric and the range-topping Cayenne Turbo Electric.

The Cayenne S Electric delivers more power than the base model and adds exclusive design elements and optional features. It produces 544 horsepower via an all-wheel-drive system with permanent-magnet synchronous motors on both axles. With launch control activated, peak output rises to 666 horsepower.

The rear electric motor uses a direct oil-cooling system, similar to the turbo model. Its pulse inverter features silicon carbide semiconductor materials and manages a maximum current of 620 amperes.

The SUV accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of about 155 mph. On a single charge, it can travel up to 406 miles based on the WLTP standard.

Like other models in the lineup, the Cayenne S Electric is equipped with a 113-kWh high-voltage battery. With fast charging, the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in less than 16 minutes under optimal conditions.

The exterior features dedicated front and rear aprons finished in Volcano Grey Metallic, along with matching inserts and a diffuser. 20-inch Cayenne S Aero wheels come standard.

Optional features include Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, Porsche Active Ride, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, and the Sport Chrono Package. The Sport Chrono Package includes a Push-to-Pass function that delivers an additional 122 horsepower for up to 10 seconds. Track mode also includes battery preconditioning to optimize performance.

Porsche has also unveiled a new Interior Style Package available across the entire Cayenne Electric lineup. The first Director's Cuts offering, part of the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur Style product line, is available as an option on all Cayenne Electric models.

The package features colors and materials designed to complement the Mystic Green Metallic exterior. It includes a black-and-Delgada Green two-tone leather interior, Izabal Green aluminum trim, and green accents on the dashboard, stopwatch, and power meter. The design theme extends to the center console armrest, the vehicle key, the door sills, and the floor mats.
